Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2013 Line Makes 60′s Mod Modern
By Katherine Fotinos
October 03, 2012
Louis Vuitton’s Spring 2013 show brought back 60′s mod fashion while adding a futuristic twist, sending models down to the runway via a seemingly endless escalator in almost robotic uniformity.  Short hems and high necklines were the common theme of Vuitton’s teeny rompers and mini shifts, made especially sweet under classic swing coats in iconic checkered print. Slim pencil skirts and perfectly tailored coats, also in the bold check pattern, made the transition into the modern age with timeless color composition and the inclusion of sequined materials. Accessorized with boxy matching handbags and minimalist kitten heels, Vuitton’s line suggested classic femininity and sophistication. The looks were pulled together with hair bows pinned in sleek buns boasting subtle bouffant bumps, wide eyes rimmed in dark black eyeliner, and soft nude pouts.
