Lupita Nyong’o has become a Hollywood darling, topping best-dressed lists and snagging Oscar gold. But her power reaches far beyond the red carpet and could easily translate into a beauty campaign.

Though she may have confused Ellen Degeneres when she dropped her Clarins’ HydraQuench Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm in to Pharrell’s now iconic hat at the Academy Awards, the move prompted beauty buffs to snap up the lippie in droves, completely selling out within a day! “We were more than thrilled. We were ecstatic. And shocked. And — frankly — screaming at our televisions,” the brand shared on its Beauty Flash Blog. The brand has already ordered extra stock from Paris as we speak.

But that’s not all! The style star has become Miuccia Prada’s latest muse, not only serving as the face of Miu Miu’s spring collection, sitting front row during Paris Fashion Week with Rihanna and hombre ambassador Jared Leto, but coining the hue Nairobi Blue with her Oscar to make it a must-have shade for spring!

She’s clearly not afraid of color (as internet memes indicate), she’s matched many of her eye shadows to the rainbow of gowns she’s worn all awards season to every beauty buff’s delight, prompting many to step beyond the nude hues that have dominated runways. She’s also brave enough to be vulnerable about her own image as she shared that Alek Wek was her beauty icon growing up.
