The Olsen twins brought sand to the beach with their latest effort on the quest to continue their fashion world domination.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have successfully launched turned their “bohemian-bourgeois” into a savvy fashion brand first appearing as the face of Badgley Mischka in 2006, launched The Row shortly after, Elizabeth & James in 2007, Olsenboye at J.C Penny, and a t-shirt line with Stylemint. Oh, and then there were the three capsule collections with Scandinavian retailer Bik Bok.
The t-shirt collection seems to have been an act of foreshadowing, considering Mary-Kate and Ashley have taken a minority ownership stake in BeachMint—the parent company to StyleMint, JewelMint, ShoeMint, and IntiMint.
“In our expanded roles as cochairs of the advisory board, Ashley and I will work closely with BeachMint’s management team in this strategic phase of growth to establish the Mint brands as the leading online destination for all things fashion,” Mary-Kate told Women’s Wear Daily.
