Meet Princess Kate’s Royal Wedding Manicurist!

By  April 29, 2011

Finally, it’s over. The lovely Catherine Elizabeth Middleton is now the newest member of England’s royal family.

As a gift to her new step-daughter-in-law, The Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker Bowles treated Princess Catherine to a manicure so that her impending (sure to be highly scrutinized) royal wave would be absolutely flawless.

According to the Daily Mail, manicurist to the stars (including Bowles) Marina Sandoval of Jo Hansford Salon in the exclusive Mayfair district in London popped by the Clarence House this morning to pamper Middleton’s hands and polish her nails in a chic hue perfect for a princess.

“She was very pleased with the result and told me that it looked beautiful and elegant,” says Sandoval. “I can’t wait to see the result when Prince William places his ring on her finger.”

The service was Sandoval’s £36 signature manicure, which includes a luxury soak and exfoliation of the hands, a deep tissue massage to stimulate growth followed by filing, buffing, and of course, polishing.

Her color of choice? Nothing say regal like nude. Sandoval created a sheer, pale, pinkish nude polish especially for the bride-to-be using Essie in Allure and Bourjois in Rose Lounge.

We love that Catherine’s primping session was very much like what we’re used to. She’s truly the People’s Princess 2.0.
