In keeping with tradition Anna Wintour and Bee Shaffer were the first to arrive at the 2014 Met Gala. Wintour once again wore Chanel to celebrate the opening of the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion exhibition.” Her daughter was clad in a powder blue satin Alexander McQueen gown. It was a big day for Vogue’s editor-in-chief, who started off her morning in the company of Michelle Obama and almost every iconic fashion designer. The First Lady was in New York to do the honors of cutting the ribbon at The Anna Wintour Costume Center at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The usually poker faced editrix seemed downright emotional as she watched on. And after a day like that, we’re sure she will continue to shine.
