With exactly a month to go until the Fall 2104 shows begin, big changes are the topic of choice regarding the future of Fashion Week.

Already a handful of designers dropped out of the Lincoln Center venue, including Jenny Packham, Carolina Herrera, and Vera WangBut that’s not all. Industry influencers Michael Kors and Diane von Furstenberg just announced their plan to move downtown – to Spring Studios to be exact … the same venue where Francisco Costa opts to show his Calvin Klein collections.

While Kors will showcase his Fall 2014 designs at 10 am on February 12th, von Furstenberg will show on the 9th at 5 pm, and Calvin Klein will debut on the last day as usual, February 13th at 2 pm.

Given von Furstenberg’s position as the president of the CFDA and Kors’ undeniable influence over the industry, this is a huge statement regarding the current sentiments towards the experience at Lincoln Center. Considering the fact that the new home of Fashion Week, Hudson Yards, won’t be completed until 2015, the fashion industry is set for a few interesting seasons when it comes to show locations.
