There was much speculation about First Lady Michelle Obama and what she would wear on on the cover of the April issue of Vogue. For her second cover, famed photographer Annie Leibovitz shot her with her new bangs, toned arms on display, and wait for it, a blue and purple Reed Krakoff sheath dress from her very own closet!
She and her husband, President Barack Obama, were styled by Vogue‘s styling team with fashion editor Tonne Goodman leading the way. “If you’re comfortable in your clothes it’s easy to connect with people and make them feel comfortable as well,” she said in the issue out March 28th.
It it similar to what she said of her style back in 2009 when she was the magazine’s cover girl wearing Jason Wu. “First and foremost, I wear what I love,” she explained. “That’s what women have to focus on: what makes them happy and what makes them feel comfortable and beautiful. If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion.”
We can’t wait to get our hands on this issue!
