In news you probably didn’t know: (because we can’t stop talking about Kim Kardashian and Kanye West on the cover) Mindy Kaling is inside Vogue’s shape issue—along with a pregnant Emily Blunt, basketball player Skylar Diggins, Jessica Hart and Hilary Rhoda.
“There’s a whole list of things I would change about myself,” the star and creator of Fox’s The Mindy Project told Vogue. “For example, I’m always trying to lose fifteen pounds. But I never need to be skinny. I don’t want to be skinny. I’m in a constant state of self-improvement but I don’t beat myself up over it.”
The bestselling author doesn’t take fashion too seriously either saying that she would “wear Marni everyday with chunky shoes and wooden bracelets.” “It’s a fun expression of who I am,” Kaling said. “Miu Miu slays me, too. It’s so playful. I love when your clothes can help you project that you’re witty—you know when your outfit does some of the work for you.”
Oh the subject of her actual shape, Kaling said, “When I’m my thinniest, I tend to wear things that don’t show off my body. But when I’m bigger, I’ll go body-con, which comes from a place of ‘This is my perimeter, in case you were wondering if I was actually much bigger.”
How can you not love her?
