After much speculation about whether she would or wouldn’t walk in the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in December, Miranda Kerr confirmed that she will not. But it wasn’t because the Victoria’s Secret Angel was dropped.
“They asked me to walk in the show, and I really wanted to, but I have to be in Asia that week,” Kerr told Fashionista. See, no beef. We’ll just blame scheduling conflicts for the reason that the supermodel would miss her first show since being named an Angel, save for 2010, the year she gave birth to her son Flynn.
“When I spoke to Ed [Razek, the president and chief marketing officer for Victoria’s Secret], he was like, ‘I’m really upset that you can’t be here! But I’ve got another contract and commitment at the same time.”
Well, if duty calls.
Kerr’s other duties include, you know, besides tending to her husband Orlando Bloom and their son, expanding her beauty line, Kora Organics. “We’re in 400 stores in Australia, we launched on Net-A-Porter, and we just launched our website,” she said.
Oh, and then there’s attending Bloom’s Broadway show Romeo & Juliet which, Kerr has seen five times. “I recommend that everyone go and check it out, it’s amazing!”
One thing is for sure, will miss her this December, when the show airs on CBS, Tuesday the 10th.
