Models, Makeup, and Manes at The Met

By  May 05, 2009

Ok, so while some of the ensembles at Monday night’s Met Gala may have been just slightly…well, let’s say questionable, the beauty looks were spot on. GlamBlush got the insider details on how to recreate a few of the star’s makeup and hair looks!

Anne Hathaway’s Makeup
Makeup artist Leslie Lopez was responsible for Hathaway’s super glam vixen look. Smokey eyes were definitely the focal point so Lopez used Lancome Color Design Eyeshadow in Statuesque over the entire lid and in Daylight just on the brow bone. Several coats of Lancome L’Extreme Mascara in Black were obviously necessary. To balance  such a strong eye Lancome L’Absolut Rouge Lipstick in Couture Suede gave Hathaway the perfect neutral lip.

Ashley Olsen’s Hair
Matrix celeb stylist Mark Townsend (who, as a sidenote, is delightful; he  blew out my hair the other day and now I’m totally obsessed with him) had just cut Ashley’s hair into an asymmetrical bob so they opted to leave it down. Said Townsend: “ I sprayed Biolage Bodifying Spray Gel in her damp hair and blow dried it. To keep her hair straight and shiny all night I used Vavoom Gold-Heat Iron In Control and ran and FHI Heat flat iron over the hair.”

Brooke Shields’s Hair
Stylist Oscar Blandi wanted to give Shields curls that still looked soft so he applied Oscar Blandi Volumizing Spray to her wet hair for fullness and lightness. After drying it and curling it with two different sized curling irons, a touch of Oscar Blandi Jasmine Oil gave her mane extra sheen.
