There’s the Rachel, the Farrah, and the iconic Pixie – just a few of the iconic haircuts made popular all thanks to notable celebrities and their tress choices.

Glam spoke with Clyde Elezi, lead hairstyle’s at The Drawing Room, a top salon in Soho, to get the deets on the most popular cuts of now … and the celebrity whose name keeps popping up, haircut after haircut.

While young women arrived at their local salons with pictures of Jennifer Aniston as Rachel Green in droves in the ‘90s, during the Friends era, a very different look is dominating strands now. As it turns out, The Rachel’s been replaced by the Michelle. Michelle Williams made her pixie cut popular years ago, but it seems women are finally picking up on the trend. Thanks to powerful female influences like Halle Berry, the Michelle has officially become one of the most popular styles.

If you’re not ready to chop it all off, but still want to stay on trend with your tresses, Clyde named three different trends that reign supreme currently. Though it’s important to take face structure, hair texture, and lifestyle into consideration, he’s noticed a trio of popular styles taking over the request line.

1.     Medium Length Bob with micro fringe
2.     Disconnected Layers
3.     Short but Choppy Hair, influenced from the punk age, but in a sophisticated version

No doubt Anna Wintour will be pleased about the last one given this year’s Costume Institute theme!
