Mulberry will not show come London Fashion Week next February. The British fashion house has been devoid of a lead designer ever since Emma Hill left Mulberry in June. And this case, the show won’t go on.
“Mulberry has not finalized its creative director search and will therefore exceptionally not stage a catwalk show this February,” a spokesperson for Mulberry told Fashionista. Women’s Wear Daily reported that a few individuals are “whispered as potential replacements,” like Erdem Moralioglu, Roland Mouret, Mary Katrantzou and even handbag designer Sophie Hulme.
Considering the fact that Mulberry is one of London Fashion Week’s most highly anticipated shows, the show will be more than missed. But we’ll definitely keep our eye on the list of potential creative directors that WWD reported for new developments as they relate to this brand.
