When Juicy Couture launched its Noir fragrance in June, perfumer Honorine Blanc wanted to convey an edgier vibe than its saccharine predecessor. “We wanted Viva la Juicy Noir to shift away from the fresh sparkle of the original Viva la Juicy into a tempting and ultrafeminine scent,” she told Women’s Wear Daily, later adding that the sultry elixir aimed to “evoke a feeling of the limitless possibilities that nighttime can bring.” Its accompanying ad, starring Sasha Pivovarova, echoed those sentiments and reflected a more seductive side of the brand—the same essence that made Juicy’s Fall 2013 clothing collection go wild.
While the visuals channeled your inner film noir vixen, the new scent accelerated her emergence with irresistible top notes of wild berries and gardenia, melded with honeysuckle in the middle and vanilla at the base. That’s not all though: Juicy Couture extended its Noir niche with a namesake playlist to send you off into the night.
Featuring Justin Timberlake‘s The 20/20 Experience and a Fiona Apple throwback (how appropriate considering her new tour?), the 14-song set is fully packed for your listening pleasure. All you have to do is push play.
