THE PARTY: BVLGARI Presents “Decades of Glamour” Celebrating 130 Years

THE PLACE: The Garden Terrace at SoHo House, West Hollywood

THE DEETS: The mystique of SoCal’s members-only club was amplified Tuesday night when Tinseltown lit up for BVLGARI’s pre-Oscars celebration. The scene doubled as a precursor to the A-list looks that will descend upon the Academy Awards’ red carpet on Sunday, while paying homage to the legends and leading ladies—Elizabeth TaylorSophia LorenKeira KnightleyAnne Hathaway, and others—who’ve shone as bright as the lavish Milano biojux they’ve worn on red carpets of years past.

Naomi Watts, BVLGARI’s unofficial ambassador as of late, hosted the soirée, just days after she dazzled at its Fall 2014 presentation during Milan Fashion Week. Clad in an Altuzarra dress and amethyst-diamond-emerald BVLGARI necklace, she was joined by Le Divorce gal pal Kate Hudson in Emilio Pucci, a super sleek Olivia Munn in Bibhu Mohapatra, a Shameless Emmy Rossum in J. Mendel, and equally-haute headliners like Erin WassonDianna Argon, and Camilla Belle, who we overheard telling Style.com that she’s hopeful for “something very exciting, colorful, and fashion forward,” on Oscars Sunday.

Though Hollywood’s finest were certainly a main attraction, a look at BVLGARI’s timeless creations—a 1979 ruby and sapphire choker worn by Knightley at the 2011 Oscars, a 1971 “Buddha” sautoir dripping in seven different precious stones, diamonds of every cut at every turn—had us forecasting the glorious gem moments that will reign on Sunday. For Watts, one thing is for certain: no matter the dress, she’ll be a belle in BVLGARI.
