Nicholas Kirkwood’s Collaborations with Samsung

Nicholas Kirkwood didn’t just create the visuals for London Fashion Week for the third year in a row—he created a collection of custom cases for the Galaxy Note 3, too.

The shoe designer’s tech collection comes on the heels of Samsung’s collaboration with jewelry designer Dana Lorenz during New York Fashion Week. Kirkwood’s range of accessories will feature his signature chevron pattern in two colors: black with white detail and white with black detail.

Considering how interlocked fashion and technology have become—think Kate Moss and her line of accessories—we think this is a smart pairing. “Technology is becoming more deeply linked with the creative processes of fashion designers and artists—both enabling and empowering them in their creative process,” Younghee Lee, executive vice-president of global marketing for the IT and mobile division at Samsung said. “Partnering with Nicholas Kirkwood, the creative genius and renowned shoe designer, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 can offer an additional inspiration to our fashion-conscious customers. I think this partnership brings an exciting dimension to our involvement in this year’s London Fashion Week and we’re looking forward to hearing our customers, partners and visitors to Somerset House think.”

We’re sure this news will be met with a resounding “Yay,” at least from us anyway.
