#NYFW Anna Sui Spring 2012

By  September 15, 2011

Anna Sui’s Spring 2012 show was inspired by the work of photographer Antonio Lopez, who exposed his American muses to the Paris fashion scene in the 1970s. In true Sui fashion, a grungy ’90s sensibility and disco era drama influenced much of this season’s collection. Her palette of strong colors changes from rocking purple and black to soft, cream-like shades in vintage inspired prints, which included stars, polka dots, and florals. Turbans and caftans made for an exotic jet-set moment complete with Anna Sui designed Tumi luggage. And it was hats on for Sui — Sailor hats, mini birdcage hats, and floppy wide brim hats topped off the show!
