Max Azria kicked off Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week with one of his strongest collections to date. For Spring 2012 Azria sent a slew of effortlessly elegant silk chiffon dresses down the runway. Color blocking was especially important this season, and the designer used saturated brights and neutral accents for a beautiful juxtoposition. Tribal prints and detailed embroideries reflected a well- traveled sensibility, though the looks will be right at home in the urban jungle. Sportier pieces make for refined daily accents. The fluid silhouettes, soft pleats, and airy fabrics made for a refreshing aesthetic.
