#NYFW Doo.Ri Fall 2011

By  February 12, 2011

Inspired by the work of Beverly Semmes, Doo-Ri Chung presented a collection that was chock full of long, lean and fluid silhouettes. Oversized mohair sweaters and fringe scarves looked supremely cozy, and then there were pieces like tailored vests with leather piping that provided an extra dash of edge. Chung is a veritable wunderkind in the draping department, proving that jersey fabric can most definitely be glamorous; it’s not just for lounge wear and lazy Sundays. Overall, the show made us jealous of the models…and not for the obvious reasons. We wish we could wrap ourselves in the super soft material!
