#NYFW Irina Shabayeva Fall 2011

Following Christian Siriano’s show, the “Project Runway” talent continued Thursday evening with Irina Shabayeva. While Siriano celebrated glamorous dark beauty, churning out one black number after the next, Shabayeva opted for a more colorful route. The collection looked as if she had crafted the series of separates, cocktail dresses and ball gowns out of a thousand construction paper snowflakes. There was also plenty of sparkle and crystal strapless dresses were paired with soft gray knits. Full skirts added extra drama, but overall the collection was very wearable.
