#NYFW Prabal Gurung Spring 2012

Prabal Gurung took us inside a kaleidescope of sorts with his Spring 2012 collection. Violet surrealist floral prints played off of symmetry for an optical effect. Strategically placed paneled geometric cutouts gave dresses a bold effect.

Leather-mesh jackets made in collaboration with Zana Bayne were particularly strong. Gurung styled his looks with Linda Farrow’s extreme cat-eye frames and Nicholas Kirkwood’s stilettos.

Among the editorial heavyweights in the audience were celeb fans Nicki Minaj, who cited Japanese fashion as her style inspiration style and Amanda Seyfried. Gurung shows are certainly gorgeous!
