 Rag and Bone

The rain was no match for loyal Rag & Bone fans. Elijah Wood, Charlize Theron and Stuart Townsend, Gossip Girl‘s Jessica Szohr, model Jessica Stam, and the powerhouse Vogue trio (Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, and Hamish Bowles) trickled into the Cedar Lake location on West 26th street to see their beloved label knock it out of the park. With a nod to their signature standout style, David Neville and Marcus Wainwright presented us with a SS 2010 collection featuring classic yet casual Edwardian-influenced pieces in a simple color palette of ecru, olive, navy, charcoal, ivory, and black. Blazers, cropped and of the boyfriend variety, were strong throughout the show as were denim and slouchy knit pants. A key to their relaxed cool look was layering; a midnight cravat coat was styled with a belted button down and worn atop charcoal duster shorts or a citrine marble print polaire top and skirt were paired with two-tone leather leggings and a grey linen somerset coat. We’re coveting the stylish yet functional olive green parka that opened the show-it’s the ultimate spring cover-up! ~ Maria Denardo
