#NYFW Ruffian

By  September 11, 2009

The bar is set very high when a designer makes the inspiration for a collection based on an epic Pablo Picasso painting.  All anxiety aside, Ruffian’s Spring/ Summer 2010 collection proves to be a stunning homage to the work and palette of Picasso while also proving to be a gorgeous testament to the strengths and talents of the duo design team.

For spring, contrast is the name of the game with Ruffian’s pairing of welted pockets and button holes with soft and bold printed silks.  The line captures a highly tailored look with an emphasis on texture, print and hand embroidery.   ~ Alyssa Bernstein
