#NYFW Spring 2013: Costello Tagliapietra

By  September 06, 2012

The duo that is Costello Tagliapietra wowed a packed audience at Milk Studios with their effervescent prints that seemed to glide down the runway for Spring 2013. Corals, violets, olives, and teals dominated this deliciously feminine yet highly sophisticated line. Their mastery of air-dye techniques on the forefront in muted jewel tones — salmons, violets, and green shades — made you realize that although Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra may be burly, there’s no denying that they understand women’s high fashion.

“I love them,” gushed Simon Doonan, who sat front-row with his custom Goyard. “Their clothes are floaty and feminine, and they’ve started doing interesting prints. There are a lot of nice things to anticipate here.”
