#NYFW Spring 2013: Theyskens’ Theory

By  September 10, 2012

Not many surprises today at Oliver Theyskens‘ Theory Spring 2013 runway show: his gorgeous, masculine-gone-feminine black pantsuits and jackets were streamlined and as beautifully tailored as ever, produced as timeless pieces we’ve come to expect from his design studio. Some stunning white pieces and a light aqua, embellished floor length dress were particularly supple and beautiful amidst the virile line. Put a woman in Theyskens’ Theory, and she’ll be sure to wow the boardroom.

“I really loved it! I really, really loved it,” chanted Alexander Wang, who sat front row. “It’s very dark. I really loved the embellished pieces, and what he did with some of the fabrics.”

“I must say I wasn’t a big fan of the shoulder,” Wang did admit, “But you know, other than that I love the shapes, I love his silhouettes, and I really love the new fabrics.”
