#NYFW Tadashi Shoji

By  September 16, 2009

If there is any way to beat the workday blues it would involve attending a Tadashi Shoji runway show. The energy of the music, the clothes and the attendees knocked us right out of our weekday fog. Tadashi presented some unbelievably sexy one shoulder dresses in a different range of fabric, draping and color. We can already anticipate that the one shoulder dress will be the hot-ticket item for Spring 2010. We can count on puffy, exaggerated and ruffled shoulders to dress us in ultra-chic office wear and give us a stunning night out on the town outfit. We just love clothing that can look good at work and still knock em dead at a club.

We were lucky enough to be sitting up front and center among celebrities such as Ron Jeremy (!) and the always glamorous Keri Hilson. Most of us know Keri Hilson as the talented songstress who recently featured Kanye West on the track: “Knock you Down.” With just moments to go before showtime, we just had to ask about her thoughts on  Kanye West versus Taylor Swift VMA faceoff. She rolled her eyes and tilted her head to the sky and flatly stated: “We are talking about Kanye….what else can you expect from him?” Hilson ultimately sides with Taylor Swift by stating that she is “a very big fan and sadly this moment was stolen from her.” Continuing with our Shoji celeb rundown is the one and only Ron Jeremy. We asked him what his favorite part about Fashion Week was and without any hesitation replied: “I like seeing all the marvelous outfits that I could never fit into unless I lost 75 pounds and I grew three inches…..in height.” Well said, Ron. – Alyssa Bernstein
