#NYFW The Blonds Fall 2011

The “oohs” and “aaahs” were audible during The Blonds extravaganza Wednesday night, as Phillipe and David Blond thrilled the audience with a series of spectacles, including giant, dancing Chinese dragons. The collection was inspired by the Chinese film “In the Mood for Love,” and the jaw-dropping corsets, floor-length fringe gowns and beaded bustiers were full of gilded Eastern references. A jumper made entirely of googly eyes caught the attention of singer Eve. “That one was my favorite. This made my night,” she said post-show. And what did each model don, topping off her look? An oversized, metallic glitter wig, naturally.
