OPI and Jason Wu Team Up For His Spring/Summer 2012 Runway Show

By  September 01, 2011

We’ve always known that nail polish and fashion go hand in hand, and we’re rarely caught out in public without a picture-perfect manicure and pedicure, as bare tips and toes would totally detract from our outfit. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, co-founder of OPI, wholeheartedly agrees: “Nail color has achieved the status of the accessory—it finishes the look. Everything looks so much better when you have color on your nails and toes.”

That’s precisely why she decided to join forces with darling designer Jason Wu for his upcoming Spring/Summer 2012 runway show. “Jason Wu is an amazingly talented designer, so being able to work with him is very exciting,” says Weiss-Fischmann exclusively to Glam. “His designs are very modern, very chic—and his clothes are very wearable. I love that you can buy one of his pieces and still wear it 2 years later—with different accessories!”

Speaking of accessories, apparently Wu was heavily involved in choosing the colors that will help accentuate his SS12 collection.“Jason was very hands on with approving the color scheme and the designs,” adds Weiss-Fischmann. “He wanted different looks for some of the models, and he made the final choice. He cares about every last detail.”

While she wouldn’t divulge exactly which colors she and Wu ultimately settled upon, she did share this one tidbit: “The polishes we’re using are a part of the main collection and they’re neutral tone. Neutral is the new black!”

Of course we started guessing, and we’ll place our bets on these four options:

We’ll be sure to let you all know which colors actually made it down the catwalk on September 9th. In the meantime, head over to OPI.com and let us know which nude and neutral hues you think would woo Wu!
