Oscar de la Renta Adds Hotel Amenities to His Resume

We’re glad we’re not the only one who swipes the amenities from our hotel rooms, but at least Oscar de la Renta is making up for it by crafting a line for the Peninsula Hotel.

Marking his first non-bridal partnership with an outside brand, he admitted his hotel habit to Women’s Wear Daily. “People at the hotel use the soap, [but] if someone doesn’t use all the products most people take it away. I do,” said De la Renta.

Two bar soaps, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body lotion comprise the collection – all scented with a unisex tea-based “citrus floral musk” crafted by Firmenich. The travel-friendly treasures are currently available 9 Peninsula Hotels worldwide with Paris’ opening next summer. This comes on the heels of the Marriott recently partnering with Thann for a revamped amenities line of their own.

The scents just might spark the guests to go on a shopping spree at ODLR’s boutiques during their stay, but they’re certain to become a favorite of frequent flyers.
