Get ready for a more affordable Oscar de la Renta!

After unveiling his newest fragrance, Something Blue last week, the luxury designer is set to unveil a 24-piece collection created for Net-a –Porter’s Outnet at the end of February.

The collection stemmed from the line’s 40 plus years of patterns, fabric and artwork from the archives, making the development process quicker and easier to distinct from the brand’s main collection set to hit the runway next week. The collection’s most expensive piece is a bright coral silk faille bohemian trapeze gown at $1,295, while most of the other pieces, including 11 dresses, are under $1,000. “We thought, perhaps we can put something together in a way that is new, that doesn’t require as much development time and in an exclusive way,” Oscar de la Renta’s chief executive officer Alex Bolen told Women’s Wear Daily.

Not only that, but Olivia Palermo will be the face of the more affordable collection, who’s sophisticated style caught the eye of the Outnet. “We know that our customer loves Oscar, but we also feel that this is an amazing opportunity to tap into The Outnet’s audience and a new audience that Oscar as a brand might not have reached yet,” said the Outnet’s managing director, Stephanie Phair. “It’s all about reinterpreting classic styles, so we wanted someone polished who represented the Oscar brand but that also was someone that Oscar doesn’t typically use.”

We’re already making a wish list for when the collection drops on Feb. 26the at TheOutnet.com for $325-$1,295.
