Padma Lakshmi Preps Us for Fall With Nespresso

By  October 18, 2012

She’s Tangy, Tart, Hot & Sweet, just like the title of her second cookbook implies. Padma Lakshmi, model, actress, author, and most notably, host of Bravo’s Top Chef, is a renaissance woman in her own right who knows her way around the kitchen and then some! With holiday season on the horizon, we were lucky enough to get a taste of her magic from making the perfect Nespresso pick-me-up and serving store-bought sides to being a fit foodie, and of course, serving in style. Click the photo below to open our chat with the chic culinary darling, and treat yourself to a holiday gift with her new Nespresso U Machine (go on, you deserve some designer brew).

If you want to perk up your holiday guests à la Lakshmi, try her spicy Cardamom Cappuccino recipe below:

1 capsule of Indriya of India coffee, brewed
½ cup milk of your choice
½ teaspoon of raw brown sugar
¼ teaspoon ground green cardamom
Pinch of crushed, raw unsalted almonds
Grind of nutmeg

Pour brewed Indriya of India coffee into a cappuccino cup. Then heat milk, brown sugar, and green cardamom on the stove or froth with Nespresso’s Aeroccino Plus. Next, fill the cappuccino cup with the frothed milk blend over the Indriya espresso. And finally, top with the crushed raw almonds, a grind of nutmeg, and a pinch of cardamom to taste.
