THE PARTY: On October 11th, Hollywood starlets, public officials, philanthropists, CEOs, designers, stylists, and more gathered for a celebration of Gatsby type proportions, all in the name of Global Green USA. The sold out event raised more than $350,000 to benefit Global Green’s various sustainability initiatives, programs and critical projects.
THE PLACE: The LEED-certified Bently Reserve in San Francisco
THE DEETS: The zero waste 1920s themed gala, which included the gorgeous Rosario Dawson, Taken’s Maggie Grace, and Zem Joaquin of EcoFabulous on the long list of honorary guests, began its night of enjoyment and environmental advocacy with a gourmet organic dinner by Michelin-starred Chef Ken Frank of La Toque. With drinks flowing in post prohibition fashion, the glitzy soiree then presented guests with a high energy, ultra edgy eco-couture fashion show. The runway played host to a slew of ’20s inspired looks from Brooks Brothers, eBay Green, Torso Vintages, Decades of Fashion, Cari Borja, Rose La Mel, and the Artful Gentleman, with models’ hair done by Pureology and makeup via Chantecaille. In proper Gatsby style, costumed guests hit the dance floor throughout the evening with the official event DJ, The Crystal Method on the tracks. But things didn’t end there–an after party hosted by ROKA BAR at Roka Akor San Francisco allowed for the swanky celebrations to continue into the wee hours of the morning.
