Summer is all about those lazy days where you enjoy the sunshine (safely), watch the clouds roll by, and sip something sweet to cool off. With peaches coming into season, Cruzan has opted to kick off the season early with its latest flavored rum. Pairing well with both sweet and savory dishes that are sure to be served at soirees, these luscious libations are guaranteed to satisfy:
Cruzan Paradise Punch
12 oz. Cruzan Peach Rum
12 oz. Ginger Ale
4 ½ oz. Honey Syrup*
3 oz. Lemon Juice
Combine Cruzan Peach Rum, Honey Syrup & Lemon Juice in a pitcher. Stir to mix and refrigerate. Add Ginger Ale right before serving.
*For the Honey Syrup, combine 6 parts Honey and 6 parts Hot Water. Stir and set aside.
Cruzan High Tai’d
1 oz. Cruzan Peach Rum
1 oz. Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum
½ oz. DeKuyper Triple Sec Liqueur
¾ oz. Fresh Lime Juice
¾ oz. Orgeat Syrup
Combine all ingredients over ice in a shaker. Shake vigorously and pour into a double old fashioned glass over ice. Garnish with a sprig of Fresh Mint.
Cruzan Peach Swing
1 ½ oz. Cruzan Peach Rum
½ oz. Spiced Honey Syrup*
6 Fresh Basil Leaves
Lightly muddle Lime Wedge, Spiced Honey Syrup & Basil Leaves in a shaker. Add ice and Cruzan Peach Rum. Shake lightly, pour into Collins glass over ice & top with soda. Garnish with a sprig of Fresh Basil.
*For the Spiced Honey Syrup, combine 6 parts Honey and 6 parts Hot Water. Add 1/2 tsp. Cracked Pepper and 1/2 tsp. Cinnamon. Stir and set aside.
