When it comes to makeup, anything that gives me that coveted “natural-but-better” look is a definite yes in my book. This explains my love for all things BB and CC as well as anything naked, nude, and neutral. While I’ve gotten it figured out in most product categories, finding the perfect lip-colored lipstick has eluded me. It’s too easy to veer into peach, brown, or pink territory when it comes to those nude lip colors, making my lips look anything but natural.

Luckily, Perricone MD gets my pain, and for their first foray into color cosmetics, the brand released the absolute perfect nude-pink lipstick aptly titled No Lipstick Lipstick. According to the company, the lipstick mimics the rosy shade of the inside lips (which generally doesn’t vary too much in color between people of different races and ages), and thus produces a naturally flattering hue for all skin-tones. A survey of a diverse group of editors and bloggers who got to try the color on themselves during the launch event proved this to be true…at least as far as my eyes could tell.

The lipstick is also infused with all kinds of anti-aging (neuropeptides!) and skincare nourishing (hyaluronic acid!) goodness, thanks to Perricone MD’s heritage as an innovative skincare brand. It also boasts a revolutionary solid-to-serum formulation–translation: it feels really good and silky on. Finally, effortless beauty that really is effortless! -Carolyn Hsu
