Frederic Fekkai will bring his luxe line of hair care to the masses come 2014.
The celebrated stylist is slated to relaunch his collection, bringing the best of his Classic (mass) and Advanced (luxury) collections together to provide silky strands for everyone, budget babes included. The sophisticated salon experience worked well for their prestige clients, but the brand looked to be more inclusive who wanted to share in the experience at home. “We’ve been too selective for too long,” Fekkai told Women’s Wear Daily. “Just because it’s in mass it doesn’t have to be a different formula, package or experience. We know this customer is eager to have the Fekkai experience.”
To satisfy everyone, regardless of wallet size, Fekkai crafted a collection consisting of Brilliant Glossing, Technician Color Care, and Full Blown Volume with an upcoming Lightweight Foam Conditioner for fine hair, Essential Shea, PrX Reparatives with a new Mending Elixir that is formulated with argan extract, Fekkai Styling, as well as the triumphant return of Apple Cider Shampoo. Unfortunately, the team has nixed the Perfectly Luscious Curls (a personal fave), Ageless, and Silky Straight Ironless.
The revamped collection will remain in Target stores but will also add outposts at Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor, and Ulta, allowing hair care connoisseurs to “Let Luxury Go to Your Head” with a new website and campaign, featuring Christopher Kane favorite Gabby Dover and Paulina Heiler.
