Hi there! I'm the Renee part of Renee Davide Handbags. The Davide part is my brother Dave, who is the head designer behind our line of sleek, Italian-leather bags.
We've taken a rather curvy path to the world of handbag design, and have come to it from very diverse backgrounds. Dave is an artist who has done everything from graphic design to patternmaking to film and video editing. My fabulous Italian husband (our other partner) used his law degree wisely by opening a pub by the sea. And I spent my formative years holding down boring corporate jobs to support my theatre habit, until finally getting my Masters in English Education and becoming a teacher in NYC.
So in late 2005 the three of us found ourselves all in the same country and decided to pool our various creative and business interests. And voila! Renee Davide Handbags was born.
What really brought us together is that we all shared the same design sensibility: modern, clean, sleek shapes with timeless appeal and elegance. Hope you like them!
