Weight-Loss Drug Alli Introduced In New York City
Image details: Weight-Loss Drug Alli Introduced In New York City served by picapp.com

Yeah, sue me, coz I’m trying Alli. I’ve never been good with diet pills except with TrimSpa. I like that stuff, kidding you not. It works for me. I’ve tried Metabolife and Hydroxycut in my early years and it’s just did not for me. Like every diet and exercise plan, it’s different results for everybody. But TrimSpa does work for me, except that it’s expensive. I used it last year for a month(April) actually and it worked perfectly. I was leaner back then. But it’s been a while. I figured I’d try Alli and see how I’d like it.

So far so good. I just started Monday. It stops my craving. I’m sitting and working during the day and thinking to myself, “wait, I’m usually munching on something at this time of the day“. LOL. What I also like about it is that with Alli, I MUST take my vitamins. It’s part of the process. Take Alli during the day, 1/meal, then the vitamin before bedtime. Alli instructions specifically says you must supplement with vitamins so I haven’t forgotten to take my vitamins :). I haven’t experienced any of the bad side effect I’ve read. Thank goodness.

Since I’m doing good with that aspect, I should try harder with my exercise routine. I’ll update everyone after a month. Let’s hope it’s a positive one :).

DISCLAIMER : I am in no way advocating Diet Pills. This is my journey and health, what works for me might not work for other people. I will not be responsible for your own actions. Thank You.

Buzios Top in Black and Yellow

Oh yes, I’m shopping for more workout clothes. It’s not as so much an obsession as a way of building confidence (at least that’s what I tell myself), and wearing great pieces just makes me want to get to the gym and show stuff off. If you’re looking for some slightly eclectic pieces, here are my top sources for amazing workout wear:

1. Cool Hemp/Cotton Sweats: These embroidered trousers are a dream. I’m usually not the white-liking type, but I’m willing to give these a try on account that I’ve been staring at them all week long!

2. Organic Cotton Palazzo Pants: Oooh, I love a good pair of wide-legged pants for relaxing and stretching.

3. Doce Vida Buzios Ballet Top: What an awesome top that combines bright colors and black! I’d layer it underneath my super support bras with wide straps that almost look like another top altogether.

4. Golda’s Sophisticated Top: I love Brazilian workout gear, and these tops actually bring something new to the workout world. Say “bye” to your tees and pick up these gorgeous selections with asymmetrical lines.

5. Nike’s Loose-Fit Women’s Workout Shorts: These amazing shorts are a nice compromise when you are hunting for something that’s a little softer and forgiving, but still hard-wearing for intense sessions.

Sneaks

There are ways to make yourself feel better when you are feeling like you’re in a slump. I hate those times when you’ve been working out for a while and you start to feel less motivated. Either you’ve reached a plateau or you’re just sick of the gym: this time is supremely frustrating because you’re on your way to success.

Here are my tips for motivation:

  • Put on your old pants. If your old jeans are too small and you want to slim down, the look and feel of overly tight, uncomfortable jeans can be a surprise. Sometimes you really do need to shock yourself.
  • Seriously, step away from the scale. One of the biggest problem when you’re losing the pounds is depending on it to make you feel good. Lose some water weight? You’re elated? Have PMS or feel bloated? Get depressed. Get more in tune with your body so you don’t need to depend on numbers.
  • Buy more workout gear. What the cost of sexy gym clothes if it buys you two more months of motivation in the gym?
  • Connect with your neighbor. If you promise to meet up with them on a Saturday or Sunday and do weights, jog, or hike, you won’t be able to duck out as easily.
  • Keep a pictorial journal of your weight loss/toning experience. Take a picture of yourself every week and put it in your book so you can see the difference every week. It’s harsh to strip down and do it, but it will definitely keep you working harder.

30 Day Shred Challenge
By: Burning The Scale    6 days 7 hours 27 minutes ago
Channel: Health & Wellness

On the recommendation of my friend, I tried Jillian Michaels’ (of The Biggest Loser) 30 Day Shred workout. It has three levels that go according to difficulty. Not including the warm up part, the whole thing lasts 20 minutes and is structured in 3-2-1. Three minutes of strength, two minutes of cardio and one minute abs. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong, wrong, so very wrong. The thing is you can’t stop, you have to move from one segment to the next without stopping. I mean I guess if you are about to pass out or really need to rest you can stop but for optimum results you need to not stop.

After doing the workout just twice, I can say that this is one of the best workouts I have ever tried. It’s simple and straightforward but it gets the job done. She’s not all perky and wearing a hot pink leotard or anything. She’s there to help with a minimum of dialog. My only negative conclusion is that I HATE THIS WOMAN. I mean in a good way, sort of. Like the math teacher in middle school that was really tough but in hindsight really respect and appreciate the fact that she was hard on you. Kinda like that.

So who’s in with me? I’ve decided that I’m going to give this a try for 30 days to really see if it works. There’s even part of the cardio where you are fake jump roping but I actually used my jump rope since I’ve been really into lately. 20 minutes a day for 30 days is not much to ask. I’m going to give myself a break if I miss a day or two but I need other participants. When I asked my husband if he would join me I swear I heard an expletive and a chuckle under his breath. He politely declined. Of course exercise alone won’t fix everything, I will also have to watch my snacking and I am cutting out my wine…sob. All that sugar is not helping my quest either. Do I have takers?

Pepsi Earnings Up In Q4 2002

I think we all know by now all the harmful effects of drinking too much soda. How can we not, new researches come out like every year about the “dangers” of carbonated, caffeinated and sugared drinks. As for myself, I like drinking diet Pepsi or diet Coke once in a while. When I have pizza, you can rest assure that soda is my drink of preference. That’s mostly when I drink soda. And the occasional fast food/drive-thru stops but I’m mostly a water drinker. Having said that, I don’t completely agree on eliminating soda intake completely. I believe on moderation. So if you feel like a can of Diet Coke with your pizza or burger, why not?. But of course, that’s just me.

If you’re one of the people who are looking to quit drinking soda and needs more motivation, here’s eMeExpert’s List of 16 Reasons To Stop Drinking Soda :

1. Soda Is Useless.
2. Weight Gain & Obesity
3. Diabetes
