What I love most about this coffee cake recipe is the combination of interesting flavors. The tart cranberries, roasted walnuts, and hint of orange zest all blend deliciously together in the sweet cake. When you cut into the cake, the bright red cranberries give an unexpected and beautiful pop of color!
These quick biscuits are perfect for bacon lovers (like my husband) and take under 30 minutes to make — start to finish! Since they are drop biscuits, they require no rolling out and are made by using a measuring cup to shape the dough and drop them onto a cookie sheet. The cheddar cheese and smoky bacon add a savory and delicious touch to this breakfast favorite of ours.
I always save my overripe bananas so I can make these banana muffins for a tasty breakfast treat. They are quick, easy, and pretty just by themselves, or you might want to sprinkle a touch of powdered sugar on them to dress them up for guests. Since they are mini muffins, you’ll be amazed how many you can make in one batch. I like to freeze them to defrost whenever I need a quick snack or whenever I forget I need to bring a treat to a special occasion.
