Rag & Bone Is Taking Over Marc Jacobs’ Fashion Week Slot

By  June 05, 2014

RAG_0969.450x675Up until recently, two years ago to be exact, Marc Jacobs held the exact same spot on the New York Fashion Week schedule. However, with personal and professional transitions come updates and changes.

Beginning this September, Rag & Bone will move into the spot previously owned by Jacobs, showing their collection on September 8th at 8 pm. Previously, the designers always opted for the first Friday evening. Reason for the move is credited to maximizing timing for international press and retailers, but it’s undeniable that Marcus Wainwright and David Neville see the brand building opportunity in moving into such a storied slot.

News is still out regarding if they’ll be sticklers for starting on time the way that Jacobs was later in his career.
