Women everywhere pack more into their schedule than time allows for, so we don’t have time to deal with products that don’t knock it out of the park. Redbook tested hundreds of the newest products to find the MVPs of 2012 with the help of a panel of 22 expert judges, who are busy moms in the industry. After all the swatching and spritzing for the makeup and fragrance, the panel was sent home with skin, body and hair products to test for two months before voting. “It’s kind of amazing how it comes together as well as it does,” said Redbook’s Beauty Director Victoria Kirby. “The whole process is probably about four months from start to finish. To get this panel of amazing experts and when they all come together and agree on certain products, you know it’s not one or two editors saying that they love this. It’s 22 women who all think it’s incredible!”
