Roger Vivier Puts Sexy Steppers on Your Bookshelf

By  March 04, 2013

He popularized the modern pump for Dior in 1955 and made the buckle the perfect bit of bling in the ‘60s. Now the legacy of Roger Vivier will be captured in a new book.

Simply titled Roger Vivier, the 300-page tome chronicles the cobbler’s road from the his start in the ‘30s onward to his house’s success with current creative director Bruno Frisoni. It features sketches by the two designers as well as photographed conversations between brand ambassadors Inès de la Fressange and Catherine Deneuve, who sported the iconic slippers in her role as Belle de Jour; as well as between Frisoni and Cate Blanchett.

Mark your calendars as this book on the stylish steppers is set to hit shelves in April!
