Rustic Glamour Takes Over the Chanel Metiers d’Art Show

After spending almost seven years in the Lone Star State, I was psyched to hear Uncle Karl would take Chanel’s annual Metiers D’Art show to Dallas. Not only did he exceed expectations, but the beauty was a sight to behold!

Though one would think the models’ hair would be sky-high (after all, everything is bigger in Texas), Sam McKnight tousled their tresses before adding Fame-era Lady Gaga hairbows to their low-slung ponytails with a few #CCertified feathers added into the mix.

Lagerfeld looked to Peter Phillips to create a glitzy take on a sun-kissed glow by cross-hatching gold and silver on the girls’ cheeks, temples, and eyelids. With a few swipes of black mascara and a gentle pink pout, the ladies stomped the rodeo-ready runway at Fair Park.

While we doubt the glimmering cheeks and printed feathers will become a trend, contouring and low-slung ponies have us chomping at the bit. Giddy up!
