INSPIRATION: A poem by Charles Bukowski that opens “There’s a bluebird in my heart that wants to get out, but I’m too tough for him.” LaPointe wanted to show the balance between a person’s inner vulnerability and outer tough skin.

PALETTE: Black, ivory, cognac, silver, ink, steel blue, gunmetal.

TRENDS: Tuxedo trousers, wool coats, golden fox fur, beaded appliqués, bomber jackets, trapeze skirts.
