We admit that we can be a little lazy about our skincare when we’re too tuckered out. But one thing that we always do – no excuses allowed – is remove our makeup before bed.
When we heard that The Daily Mail’s Anna Pursglove skipped her skincare regimen for a solid month (yes, she just kept reapplying her makeup over the previous day’s face), our jaws literally dropped. At the end of the month, her skin was not only dry and flaky, but according to her dermatologist, it had aged by 10 years. The doctor noted that the skin wasn’t able to breathe thanks to clogged pores which stretched during her experiment. Yikes!
Martha Stewart even noted the importance of a good skincare regimen when she opened up her makeup bag for her eponymous glossy. “It’s important to remember that no amount of makeup, no matter how artfully applied, can cover up uncared-for skin,” she said.
To ensure you keep your skin as young as possible, we’ve compiled a collection of removers that you can use to cleanse before you catch some Zzz’s.
