From November to April – an unfortunate reality on the East Coast – my daily instinct is to pair it with a knit sweater, black skinny jeans and leather riding boots. Any trend that keeps you cozy (and enables serial snoozing, of course) is an easy one to get behind, in my opinion.
There are many ways to rock a faux fur vest. For the office, I recommend pairing one with a tailored shirtdress, opaque black tights and matching closed-toe pumps.
After dark, give that go-to LBD a rest and style your faux fur with a floating dress or peasant-style silk blouse, trousers and platform booties. The outcome will be a chic-and-unexpected boho ensemble that’d make even Mary-Kate & Ashley proud.
My go-to shops for faux fur separates are Cynthia Vincent, Rebecca Taylor and Revolve Clothing – all of which have luxurious, more substantial pieces worth investing it. Forever21 and ASOS have an array of affordable (yet on-trend) options too.
