While the Divergent actress regularly uses seas buckthorn as a regular makeup remover to swipe off the 100% Pure makeup musts she wears on the red carpet (remember, she doesn’t wear makeup day-to-day). Prior to snipping her strands for her upcoming role in the John Green flick, The Fault Is in Our Stars, she also used the brand’s shampoo but now hardly washes it at all.
The rest of her beauty routine definitely defies regular convention, as she’s been on the oil pulling trend way before the rest of us beauty buffs. “It really makes your teeth whiter because the plaque on your teeth is not water soluble, it’s fat soluble,” she explained to the site. “So the lipids have to dissolve in fats, which is why oil work in your mouth.”
Another interesting ingredient in her arsenal is clay. While some use the material for brushing their teeth, the star ingests the clay to clean heavy metals out of the body as it bonds with negative isotopes. She advised beginners to find good sources for their clay and to not be surprised where everything (and we mean everything) will smell like metal.
It’s no wonder why Woodley would use her natural food know-how to open her own elixir bar to whip up brews to heal all sorts of ailments. “If I wasn’t an actress, I’d probably do something with food,” she said. “I’m fascinated with the entire process. I would open a place like Moon Juice and have an elixir bar where people could come in and say, ‘My tooth aches,’ or ‘I have a sinus infection,’ and I would be able to help them.”
If she does step away from the screen we’d love to see what concoctions she could create!
