Slashed Stripes and Stylish Celebs Lead the Way for McQ’s A/W Ad Campaign

By  July 25, 2013

Distorted tiger stripe print pieces, luxurious fur trimmed outerwear, edgy leather and splattered accessories–a collection with articles this effortlessly teetering between high fashion and urban street modernity can only come from one place. McQ Alexander McQueen has not disappointed in its Autumn/Winter line, and the ad campaign shot by photographer David Sims surely does the pretty punk pieces justice.

The black and white photographs feature April Tiplady and Tom Gaskin, and the fearlessly creative Alice Glass of the band Crystal Castles–a fitting addition to the McQ model listing. Gold hoops, dark lips, and tight corn rows suggest a “ratchet” influence that celebrity stylistas like Rihanna and Miley Cyrus have recently been bringing to the table–but McQ is on top of the street style innovations so were we to expect anything less?

The cold weather collection is available online as of July 24th, though Hollywood A-listers get the advantage of wearing the looks first. Miranda Kerr rocked the McQ  A/W 2013 blue floral tiger dress in Tokyo just the other day, pairing the modern number with trendy contrasting shoes and a stylish satchel. Can you dig it?
