The time is near, and we can feel the excitement building around what is perhaps the most highly-anticipated red carpet event in the fashion industry. The Met Gala is just one of Anna Wintour's claim to fame, but it is undoubtably the most exquisite. She's been the woman to woo if you want an invitation, and naturally, she's the one to impress. But we, as faithful fashion onlookers, are always eager to see what Ms. Wintour has up her own sleeve--and we mean that literally. Which designer she chooses, how well she adheres to the gala's theme and whether she'll ever stray from her signature bob are all questions we ask ourselves in the hours (okay, weeks) leading up to this momentous occasion. And for old time's sake, we couldn't help but take a walk down memory lane to remind ourselves just how long it took Anna Wintour to become the Anna Wintour.
