As one of the co-hosts, Rooney Mara honored her friendship with fellow co-host Riccardo Tisci in a Givenchy gown.
Katie Holmes celebrated a white moment in a Calvin Klein dress designed by Francisco Costa, touching on punk with a torn hemline and choker collar.
Anne Hathaway attended with longtime friend Valentino in a vintage Valentino Haute Couture gown with fluid black tulle, abstract decoration, and beaded embroidery and a Valentino Noir Lucite clutch
Cameron Diaz celebrated her love for punk in Stella McCartney, saying, "We wanted to be chic and punk rock at the same time. Punk was absolutely an influence in my life. A big part of my upbringing and existence."
Minka Kelly managed to merge femininity with punk in her Carolina Herrera design, thanks to the gorgeous eggplant hue and accented shoulders.
What's more punk than pairing an elegant gown with a studded leather jacket?
Ginnifer Goodwin's Tory Burch gold number paired quite well with her dramatic makeup and shorn locks. “It’s a good night for having short hair.”
Since Kerry Washington never went through a punk moment in her lifetime, she decided to put purple streaks in her hair to match her Vera Wang gown. “We decided to honor Vera’s design. I put all these purple highlights in my hair to have a punk moment. It’s so fun I feel like I may have discovered something new about myself tonight.”
Nicole Richie paired her Topshop dress with a bold beauty moment: grey hair!
Following the pink is punk motto, Gwyneth Paltrow stunned in a shocking Valentino number.
Sarah Jessica Parker took the punk theme to heart. "The headdress is Philip Treacy. He’s been working on it for the past few weeks and I feel incredibly fortunate that its in my hair and custody tonight. Giles Deacon came to New York and cut [this dress] himself. We asked Mr. Louboutin to create these boots just as a nod to the plaid we think of during that period."
Stunning as always, Beyonce owned the red carpet in her Givenchy Haute Couture corset and skirt.
