Good morning, glam gals! Don't mind me, just sitting front row at Tory Burch. And yes, I woke up like this. Ok, fine. I struggled this morning to make my frost bitten face and puffy eyes look runway ready. Then I got stuck in horrendous traffic! But I managed, and I absolutely cannot contain my excitement to be at this show and in such a spectacular seat.
Is that...? Can it be? I ignore the escorts and jump up to look at who the photogs at the end of the runway are attacking. I'm pushed to the side, but I get a glimpse, and a shot of that beautiful bob. Hello, Anna Wintour. This California girl doesn't get to brush shoulders with top fashion editors very often, so I won't even pretend like I didn't almost die immediately right there.
The show starts! The fall line from Tory Burch is stunning. The detail on this dress really had me captivated. I'm calling in medieval maiden in modern times.
With 20 minutes to kill in between shows, I sneak off to the press lounge to charge my failing phone. I wish I had more time to spend in this fancy space, getting work done in peace and stuffing my face with mini muffins.
I'm a planner, which is why I knew to wear an outfit today that incorporated my Badgley Mischka purse. What else would I tote to their fall 2014 show? #boom-- it's all in the details.
It's back to the office after Badgley Mischka, and then off again for Diesel Black Gold. After the show I spot a swarm of paparazzi shooting model Hanneli Mustaparta in the middle of the intersection! Traffic gets stopped, and drivers get angry.
Back at the office trying to get some interviews transcribed and in need of a mini break. What's a girl to do? Raid the office beauty closet with Assistant Beauty Editor Valis Vicentyto guide me, of course!
Finally, it's time to run back to the hotel, grab my stuff, and head to the airport. After four days in NYC, it's back to the west coast office. On my way out I spot a little girl resting in the most ridiculous way while waiting for her parents. My body aches enough to follow her lead and pass out right next to her.
We're going back, back to Cali, Cali, with a whole row to ourselves! This never happens. I'm so excited to be able to stretch out! Alright, powering off for the next 5 hours and 40 minutes. Captain's orders.
Home and ready to crawl under the covers at last! It's late--12:30 PST and 3:30 EST, but I'm at a loss as to what time zone my body is functioning in because I feel wide awake. The adrenaline of fashion week is still flowing. I decide to do some work in bed. I'm just happy to have this little guy to snuggle with again.
