I’m back in another cab (see? I told you!) heading to the Charlotte Ronson presentation. It’s a zoo upon arrival – I can’t figure out why until I see Paris & Nicky Hilton strolling into the venue. Samatha Ronson is DJ’ing, too – this place is packed!
After a few hours and many coffees, I’m back in a cab and heading north to Lincoln Center. (I swear, 75% of my time during Fashion Week is spent en transit.) It’s time for at Nicole Miller, whose collection is inspired by female warriors.
Fashion Week, day two. My feet already hurt! After snoozing (natch), I’m up and getting ready for the Zimmermann show. These things never start on time, so I’m taking my time. Choosing my shoes is always the toughest decision…
After Kate Spade, I head uptown for Trina Turk’s presentation. After that, I need to log some office time. Those e-mails won’t answer themselves, unfortunately!
I’m done with shows for the day, thankfully, so now it’s time to cocktail. In some instances, Fashion Week is the most effective diet ever. In others, like tonight, it’s not – I’m ready to eat chips, guac and margaritas in excess!
Thankfully, they did. I was the last attendee let into the Zimmermann show (partially because I wouldn’t take no for an answer). I’m standing in the back, as a result, but this allows for an easy post-show exit. I’m off to The Hudson Hotel for my second show of the day, Rebecca Vallance.
Time to post up inside a small sandwich shop – I’m starving, freezing and in desperate need of a reliable wifi connection. I’m on deadline to write show reviews for the Australian designers’ collections I just saw, Zimmermann and Rebecca Vallance.
As luck would have it, there are no cabs in all of New York City when I’m I desperate need of one. I’m 30 minutes late to Zimmermann and nail-biting in the cab. Will they let me in?
Jessica from bows & sequins and I grab a cab downtown to meet Bianca at the Kate Spade presentation. They’re serving champagne, so I’m a happy girl! True to form, the collection is color-packed and full of sparkle.
